Caribbeans Arriving In England: Style, Elegance and Class

I discovered these photos and sat marveling at the profound history staring back at me. Afro-Caribbeans began immigrating to Britain in droves to fill shortages in the labor market after World War II. My own grandparents migrated and lived in London for years before returning back to Jamaica.

There is so much style, elegance, and impeccable dignity in these photos. Look at the little girls' matching coats, dresses and hats!!! These photos are inspiring.

Check out this post for more vintage photos.

  2. If you were born in a stable, does that make you a horse? unfortunately, we the Negroes were born in Jamaica, which still is a holding place for the slaves, therefore if it is not fitting to call yourself a horse then why do you call yourself Jamaican? we the Negroes are NOT Jamaican, nor Africans, we are the Biblical Hebrew Israelite, we are Israelites. The DNA'S that were taken from Negroes living in Jamaica has been tested and proven to be that of Biblical Israel, up to 75 percent.
