Style Profile: Anais Mali

I've found another stylista to add to my icon list. I discovered the gorgeous French Model Anais Mali a few weeks ago while browsing tumblr. While she's beautiful and a talented model (see her most recent editorial HERE), it was her effortlessly chic off-duty style that drew me in - she's simply fab!

Introducing Ashley of A Sassy Woman

So happy! The intense studying that has defined my summer thus far is over and so is the exam! Thank you guys so much for voting and for being patient. Today's feature was definitely worth the wait.

I discovered Ashley's blog through another blogger and sent her an e-mail to feature her after spending quite some time clicking through her blog (you'll see why when you visit). Ashley's blog  has a warm and inviting feel to it and her style is simply fab, she has the modern day sophisticated lady look down to a "T." It is my pleasure to introduce Ashley of A Sassy Woman

So tell us about yourself, who is Ashley?

Ashley Lorraine is a 26 year old, eclectic and vivacious woman who knows how to shop without breaking her bank! She enjoys giving wise fashion advice and is know as the go – to woman among her peers and readers. Ashley is the founder/editor of ASassyWoman.Com, a blog that focuses on fashion, beauty, health and life challenges. I enjoy reading, writing, shopping, traveling and spending time with loved ones.

What is the concept behind your blog, A Sassy Woman?
A Sassy Woman is a hot spot for the multicultural woman. I touch on Fashion, Beauty, Health and Life Challenges! In addition to those topics I have recently added a new category to my blog that highlights entrepreneurs around our country!

How would you define your style?
My style can be described as diversified and classic! I am not afraid of putting together different looks and a combination of colors to express my sense of style.
Who are your style icons?
Tracee Ellis Ross has to be my absolute FAVORITE! I love her classic looks as well as her street looks. I love the way she switches it up. I also admire Beyonce’s style. She isn’t afraid to take risks and she owns each and every look that she rocks!

What are you looking forward to wearing this summer?
I am looking forward to wearing printed and linen pants, tribal cropped tops and maxi skirts/dresses.

Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana and Solange are easily my top three modern day fashion icons so I'm quite pleased with this spread. Kerry Washington looks amazing. She's classy and sophisticated as always.

Introducing Channing of Channing in the City

Channing is my friend in my head. A few short years ago when I had a style blog, she interviewed me for a feature on Coco & Creme. Channing was as sweet as ever during the interview, and the feature turned out great! Since then I've "watched" Channing grow as a writer (she's been published in some of the world's largest publications ya'll!), and I'm a huge fan of her blog Channing in the City where you'll see her fab style on display. It is my pleasure to introduce Channing of Channing in the City.

So tell us about yourself, who is Channing?
This is always, like, the hardest question ever, isn't it? I am a 25 year old, growing into someone I actually like. I'm super short. Obsessed with sequins, nail polish and books. Closeted-history buff. Easily inspired. I'm a fun girl, hehe =)

What inspired you to start your blog, Channing in the City?
After a slight detour after college, I needed a job and wasn't sure what to do to build clips as a writer. Fashion was the only thing I felt passionate enough to talk about all the time. I had been reading blogs for years and always wanted one, so that, plus the need to build clips made perfect timing. I'm so glad I did.
How would you define your style?
Hmm. Moody. Actually, it's either really girly or I'm wearing clothing from the boys' department. Or a mashup of the two. Think a bowtie with a sequin skirt.

Who are your style icons?
Audrey Hepburn and Kerry Washington for their timelessness. June Ambrose for her fearlessness.
What are three must-haves for a woman's closet this summer?
Most definitely a maxi dress, cute crossbody bag and a fedora. Those three things can be mixed and matched with just about anything in your wardrobe for a fun summer look.

Anything else?
Thanks, Nika! I've loved your style for a while now ( since we 'met' back when I interviewed you for Coco & Creme). I like what you're doing here and I appreciate you thinking of me for your audience. xChan
